How to pick up Wallapop furniture without a car in Barcelona

You find the perfect sofa on Wallapop at a good price, and then it hits you: how do I get it home? Without a car (and even with one, a sofa won't fit) the deal gets complicated. The good news is that sorting the transport is easy and cheap if you organise it well. Here's the step by step.
1. Lock the time with the seller
First, agree a specific pickup window and the exact address with the seller (including the floor and whether there's a lift). That detail matters: picking up a sofa from a fourth floor without a lift isn't the same as from a ground floor. We do the transport; you coordinate the appointment with the seller.
2. Measure the item (and the door)
Ask the seller for the item's measurements and check it fits through your door, lift and stairwell. Most sofas fit, but rigid three-seaters sometimes won't go in a small lift and have to go up the stairs (or, in extreme cases, be hoisted via the façade). Knowing beforehand avoids surprises on delivery day.
3. Book the haul with same-day pickup and delivery
With the time and measurements clear, book a van with a driver to pick up at the seller's and deliver to yours. If the item is large or there are floors without a lift, add a second mover for loading and unloading.
